PART-TIME / PER-DIEM PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

$85+ per hour DOE  |  3–4 nine-hour shifts per month  |  Start ASAP

Express Lane Urgent Care, a privately owned clinic, is seeking an experienced PA for part-time/per-diem coverage. The ideal candidate has at least two years of PA experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care and is comfortable working independently.

SCHEDULE 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., seven days a week. Flexible shift selection; schedules are generally posted 4–6 weeks in advance.

STAFFING & VOLUME The PA is the sole provider on duty, supported by a medical assistant and front-office clerk. Average volume is 30–40 patients per shift—typically in the 20s during summer and in the 40s during winter.

PATIENTS & PROCEDURES Treat patients age 3 months through adulthood. Duties include evaluation and treatment of common urgent-care illnesses and injuries, suturing, splinting, I&D, simple foreign-body removal, wound care, and toenail procedures.

DIAGNOSTICS CLIA-waived testing includes UA dip, strep, influenza, COVID-19, and mono. No on-site X-ray; local weekday X-rays are generally interpreted within a few hours.

QUALIFICATIONS Current unrestricted California PA license and current DEA registration required. Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, efficient documentation, and the ability to recognize and refer patients needing higher-level care. Practice Fusion experience is helpful.
