Medication & Procedural Abortion In Primary Care Workshop is vital for all healthcare professionals to have an understanding of abortion because abortion is a part of routine healthcare. In this workshop, attendees will be able to take a step towards providing abortion in their practice as well as become an advocate for abortion rights and reproductive justice. 

Curriculum

  • Medication Abortion
  • Aspiration Abortion
  • First Trimester Procedure 
  • Abortion Advocacy

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the difference between medication and aspiration abortion 
  • Review the reproductive justice framework 
  • Gain a basic understanding of the steps if first trimester procedural abortion 
  • Become familiar with different types of/ options for abortion advocacy

This activity has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 2.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. Approval is valid from 3/23/2024 to 11/30/2024. AAPA reference number: CME-2011159.
