Dear CAPA Members,

As valued members of the California Academy of Physician Associates (CAPA), your expertise and insights are crucial in shaping the future of healthcare in our state. We recognize the challenges you face in your daily practice due to existing laws and regulations, and we want to hear your experiences to advocate for positive change. Your input will help us understand the obstacles you encounter and enable us to work towards a more supportive environment for Physician Associates across California.

This is your opportunity to make a difference! By sharing your accounts and perspectives, you contribute to the collective voice that will guide CAPA in addressing critical issues affecting the PA profession. We understand the complexities you navigate, and your input is invaluable in promoting a healthcare system that allows you to provide the best possible care to your patients.

Please consider reflecting on the following questions on the CAPA website:

  1. How is your scope of practice or ability to help patients limited by current law/regulation?
  2. Has your ability to provide equitable access to healthcare across patient populations been impeded by supervision?
  3. Have you ever been unable to have Family PACT, or other Medi-Cal program, at your workplace due to issues related to site certification?
  4. Has your ability to give orders to another member of the healthcare team recently been limited by a law or regulation?

Your responses will be carefully reviewed by the CAPA team, and while individual replies may not receive immediate responses, rest assured that your input will shape our advocacy efforts. We sincerely thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and insights, demonstrating your dedication to the PA profession and the well-being of your patients.

Together, we can create positive change and work towards a healthcare environment that empowers PAs to provide the highest quality care. Your voice matters, and we are grateful for your commitment to advancing the PA profession in California.

Thank you for your time and attention to your noble profession.

Warm regards,
